Nueva Vida/New Life
(For a Renaissance of Latino Culture in the Valley of the Moon)

Nueva Vida is a special program dedicated to providing holistic education for the emotional and mental well being of individuals and families within the Latino Community. This program focus in education, prevention and information for accessing mental health services. We are funded by the Sonoma County Mental Health Division.

The radio program teaches exercises and relaxation techniques to reduce stress, participants are invited to get up and move thus introducing cardiovascular activities for the vital experience of physical and mental health. Specific themes are introduced every week from changing behavior patterns that do not support a healthy life style, to information on the effective education of children, learning how to recognize and prevent emotional and mental health imbalance and more…..

The radio program is conducted by Sociologist and Independent Consultant, Noris Binet serving as Nueva Vida’s Program Director. Ms. Binet also facilitates women support groups, stress reduction classes and educational forums all programs that Nueva Vida provides for the overall wellbeing of the Latino Community in the Sonoma Valley. Ms Binet conduct also training for non-profits organizations and agencies to work culturally, linguistically, ethnically and holistically with the Latino community.
